# The NF-Core Architectural Blueprint

## 1. Base Layer: The Physical Substrate

- **Material: Carbon-Corundum Substrate**
- **Purpose: Provides the structural and thermal foundation for the chip, designed to handle** high-efficiency heat dissipation even though the chip operates at a lean 50W–150W TDP (an 85% power reduction compared to monolithic GPGPUs pushing 700W–1000W+).

## 2. Core Grid: The Distributed Micro-Core Matrix

Instead of giant, uniform compute blocks, the chip features a massive grid of highly localized, heterogeneous micro-cores representing individual Neural Trees.

- **Distributed Memory Architecture: Notice there is no external HBM or centralized** **DRAM pool pool boundary. The weights for each individual Neural Tree are sealed** directly inside its respective micro-core's local SRAM/eDRAM. Data movement is kept strictly in micrometers rather than centimeters, successfully bypassing the Von Neumann Bottleneck.

## 3. Interconnect Layer: Reconfigurable Network-on-Chip (NoC)

Layered across the micro-cores is a flexible, non-uniform routing matrix.

- **Function: Unlike the rigid parallel busses on traditional GPUs, this routing matrix allows** for multi-directional, decorrelated communication pathing to support independent ensemble execution.

## 4. Command & Control Layer: The Conductor & Aggregator

Positioned at the top of the management hierarchy are the control systems that govern execution and compliance.

- **The Meta-Cognitive Conductor: This block acts as the traffic controller. When an** inference request comes in, it triggers Sparse Activation, dynamically routing the task to only 1% to 5% of the most relevant specialized trees.
- **High-Speed Aggregation Units: Dedicated hardware blocks designed for ultra-low** latency voting, stacking, or weighted averaging across the active trees to output a final deterministic decision.
- **The "Audit Shield" Logger: A physical sub-circuit linked directly to the Conductor. Every** time a pathway is executed, it logs the exact physical coordinates of the active micro-cores, creating an immutable, hardware-level audit trail for regulatory compliance (such as DORA's "Right to Explanation").
